Position: Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Operations Manager

Location: Santa Rosa, California


Position Summary:
The DTC Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, picking, and packing operations in a high-volume order fulfillment environment at our Santa Rosa facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate product receipt, efficient order fulfillment, and the optimization of resources and processes. The successful candidate will lead the warehouse team, manage performance, oversee the hiring process, and participate in customer meetings to ensure exceptional service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, parcel handling, returns, and transfers.
  • Mentor and train team members through on-the-job coaching to enhance performance and safety.
  • Perform pick, pack, and ship processes as needed to ensure operational success.
  • Lead and develop the warehouse team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure team safety, address concerns, share essential information, and enforce distribution center guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain positive communication channels between cross-functional teams.
  • Input daily performance forecasts into productivity and efficiency reports and leverage system tools to manage operations.
  • Utilize KPIs, performance management reports, and other tools to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all Centers of Excellence Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for applicable functions.
  • Advocate for and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN practices, to drive out waste and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for team members, equipment, and KPIs under their responsibility.
  • Participate in administrative activities, including resource planning, budget management, and staffing.
  • Address team member concerns, including reporting, follow-up, investigations, and the disciplinary process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Direct-to-consumer wine fulfillment experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Navision is a significant advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
This role’s salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 annually and bonus eligible.
